Audiobook Recommendations

Audiobooks have become a big part of my life.  I can’t remember a day in the past year when I haven’t gone into my audible app and listened to something.

Whether I’m commuting to work, mowing my lawn, or flying through the air, audiobooks have turned the most annoying parts of a day into my favorites.  On more than one occasion, I’ve sat in my car after a commute just to keep listening to a fantastic book.

As of May 2023, I’ve grown my audible library to 231 titles.  If I’ve learned anything over the past few years, it’s that not all audiobooks are created equal.  A great book can easily be ruined by a bad narrator.  Now that I have the Califoreigners blog, I wanted to carve out a place on the blog where I could share my audiobook library and give suggestions about what I liked and disliked

My Preferred Genres

I know everyone has their preferences when it comes to a book, so please take my recommendations with a grain of salt.  I’m a fan of longer audiobooks and tend to lean toward Sci-fi, Fantasy, Thriller, and Survival fiction.  Though, I have found quite a few great books on Audible’s Daily Deals and Sales.  I try not to get anything under 10 hours in length unless it is highly recommended by a friend.
