[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]During our last visit to San Diego, we strolled through Balboa Park. While there was plenty to look at during our visit, we can only imagine how much fun the park would have been pre-Covid. Nevertheless, we brought to delicious breakfast from 7 Cafe and picnicked on the grass near the Botanical Building. While most of the museums were closed during our visit, a few like the San Diego Museum of Art and the San Diego Aerospace Museum were still open to guests. As a result, we hope to revisit Balboa Park once life is back to normal.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

- A great place to explore the grounds with your family at your own pace. We loved that our kids could run around and enjoy the open area.
- 2 hours
- Flushing toilets
- Beautiful architecture and landscape
- Several of the museums have reopened (check here for more updates)
- A lot of photo opportunities
- Picnic on the grass
- Play structures for the kids
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]What we brought:
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Bug Spray
- Water Wipes
- The park is very large and we were able to social distance from other guests without any issues.
- A majority of the guests wore their masks.
The park wasn’t busy when we visited. Employees were wearing masks, and we felt very safe. We never got into a situation where we felt at risk. Now, with Covid numbers going insane. It’s essential to take the necessary precautions when you go out to explore.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]
Should you go?
To picnic and relax? Yes. You can even visit the San Diego Museum of Art while you’re there, but unfortunately, you aren’t getting the full experience the park would typically offer you. It’s also our recommendation to call ahead to any museums you may have been considering visiting. Hours are continually evolving in this unsure climate.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
