Irvine Railroad Easter Eggstravaganza always brings out the crowds. Located inside Irvine regional park, the Easter area isn’t far from its entrance, which does require a small fee to enter. Once inside, the seasonal decorations are always well down, with plenty of fun photo opportunities spread throughout the grounds.

What We Said In Our Irvine Railroad Easter Eggstravaganza Video
For Easter, the biggest thing Irvine railroad offers are egg hunts that kick off every 20 minutes. Before they start those timeslots, the guides go over the rules, with the most important ones being that each kid is only allowed to pick up 10 Easter eggs. Might not seem like a lot. But there are also additional toys, candies, and surprises spread around that can be picked up. It’s a pretty good egg hunt, and the girls really enjoyed it. Just make sure to pick up some of the extra items to help you feel like the two ticket price tag doesn’t hurt. To save some extra money, we even brought some old baskets to avoid having to buy more.
In addition to the hunt. Irvine railroad offers ticket-based Easter-themed carnival games that guarantee prizes. Our personal favorites are usually their blowup inflatable prizes, but this year our girls made a truce and combined tickets to get the coolest color-swapping donkey from one of the stalls. Tickets can also be used on Crafts, jumpers, and the Main train that takes guests on a short ride into the park.

Within the Easter egg extravaganza, there are also a couple of non-ticketed paid experiences to choose from. The first being the chance to meet and take photos with the Easter bunny. And just outside, near the parking lot, you can also pay for the pony rides.
Once you’re done with the Easter event, we highly recommend the nearby OC Zoo. It’s very affordable and great for families with younger kids. The small zoo is home to over 100 animals and even has a small petting zoo inside that almost every kid enjoys.
